Russian Attack on Odessa Port Infrastructure Results in Fatalities and Injuries


On the night of July 10, Russian forces attacked the port infrastructure of the Odessa region. There are fatalities and one sailor injured.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, and the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

“At night, the enemy attacked the Odesa region with missiles. The target was the port infrastructure in the Odesa district. Unfortunately, two people, a security guard and a truck driver, were killed,” Kiper said.

The Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office noted that the attack killed a 50-year-old truck driver and a 37-year-old port worker.

Additionally, according to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, another man, a watch sailor, was injured. The victim is currently receiving all necessary assistance in the hospital.

Warehouse facilities, cargo vehicles, and a civilian cargo ship were damaged by the fragments. Due to the ship’s damage, there was a liquid leak.

Furthermore, the prosecutor’s office added that a civilian sea vessel (under the flag of Cameroon) was also damaged. The consequences are being addressed.
