Trio of Shropshire SMEs form specialist JV for infrastructure delivery

Beaver Bridges, Chasetown Civil Engineering and Foundation Piling have joined forces as The Shropshire Alliance “to drive forward the delivery of the UK’s infrastructure developments”.

The three SMEs each bring a different specialism to the consortium.

Shropshire based Beaver Bridges specialises in bridge design. It has delivered works on footbridges, timber bridges, vehicle bridges and more all over Britain in rural and urban areas from Scotland to the Isle of Wight. It has also carried out bridge removals.

Bruntwood based Chasetown offers civil engineering and building solutions, having recently delivered roads, carriageway infrastructure, residential and office packages.

Shropshire based Foundation Piling is a ground engineering specialist, delivering its expertise on a range of project from parks to piers.

The Shropshire Alliance has a combined annual turnover of £250M and is aiming to “create something greater than the sum of its parts”.

The JV says it will combine its expertise and skills base to deliver more efficient and cost effective development outcomes for the communities it serves, using a fully local supply chain.

It stated: “Our full turnkey solutions from concept to completion will ensure that clients receive trusted buildability advice and value engineering right from the commencement of their respective projects.”

Beaver Bridges chief executive Henry Beaver said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with our like-minded strategic partners on the development of this highly innovative SME joint venture. In our industry, collaboration is often discussed but rarely acted upon, it’s a major part of our business DNA and we look forward to delivering on this.”
