Update given on ‘vital infrastructure’ for Sligo town – news


The new Primary Health Care Centre in Tubbercurry will soon go to tender.

Cllr Dara Mulvey sought an update on the new facility and was informed by Dermot Monaghan, the Chief Officer for the Community Healthcare Organisation incorporating Sligo the centre is at detailed design stage.

“The stage 2C report is due for completion in Q2 2024 and is subject to approval and funding. It will go to tender in Q3. The project has an overall construction time of 18 months,” said Mr Monaghan in his reply.

Cllr Mulvey welcomed the detailed timeline and update.

“I welcome the timeline for this much needed facility for Tubbercurry and surrounding areas of South Sligo.”

“I have raised this on various occasions with the HSE and I will continue to pursue this vital piece of infrastructure.”
