Man found dead in Honicknowle property


Police have confirmed they were called to a property in Honicknowle after a man was found dead. Residents told PlymouthLive that they had seen police activity at the address in Chard Barton on Friday, May 31.

Paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service as well as what appeared to be forensic examiners and the coroner’s van were also spotted at the scene.




A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 9.10am on Friday 31 May following reports of a concern for welfare for a man at a property in Chard Barton, Plymouth. The ambulance service also attended the scene.

“A man in his 50s was pronounced deceased at the scene and his next of kin informed. Police do not believe the death to be suspicious. A file will be prepared for HM Coroner.”
