Milton Keynes: Closure order for property due to violence

The order has been made for a house in Granby Court, Bletchley.

Police visited the property on Friday, March 15, serving a notice in response to a “number of incidents of serious violence, which has involved weapons.”

As such, the occupant has been removed from the property today and it has now been secured.

Thames Valley Police also obtained a second Partial Closure Order, granted by the Magistrates’ Court.

This was due to visitors from this address being involved in a number of incidents of Anti Social Behaviour, exploitation of a vulnerable male and serious violence, which involved weapons.

The partial closure prevents anyone other than the specified persons listed on the order from entering the property for a period of three months.

Anyone who enters the house will commit an offence and would be liable on summary conviction to imprisonment, a fine, or both.

PC Vendy from the South Neighbourhood Team states: “Thames Valley Police take incidents of serious violence and incidents involving weapons very seriously and will stop at nothing to reduce these to keep the communities safe.

“With these two closure orders we hope this can reassure the community that we listen to their concerns and take action”.
