Fire crew attended the scene at property on Prestonpans High Street, behind SWS Chinese Takeaway, at about 3.55pm.
Two fire appliances attended the scene and firefighters extinguish the fire.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 3.55pm on Tuesday, 4 June, to reports of a fire affecting the rear of a commercial property in High Street, Prestonpans.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene.
“No casualties have been reported.”
