HK Real Estate Agents Use Andy Lau’s Mansion As Bait, Tell Clients They Can Be Neighbours With The Heavenly King

Property agents and real estate developers in Hong Kong are trying to turn Heavenly King Andy Lau‘s mansion into a cash cow.

According to reports, some of these agents have been trumpeting the apartment units located near Andy’s Kadoorie Road home as being “neighbours with the king” in their promotional collaterals.

Some videos online have even gone so far as to proclaim that certain units are as “close as you can get to Andy Lau’s house”, and that residents may get a bird’s eye view of seeing the 62-year-old going about his daily life.

Though we think that’s probably an exaggeration, right?

Like Aaron Kwok’s home in Happy Valley, netizens have also taken to visiting the home as a sort of tourist hotspot, with many filming the surroundings of the massively walled-up mansion.

Located at 35 Kadoorie Road within one of Hong Kong’s most desriable addresses, Andy was said to have bought the home for a hefty NT200mil (S$8.3mil) back in 2009, though experts insist the value has since risen to a whopping NT600m (S$33mil) today.

Said to have been designed as a safe house, it comes with a wine cellar, private cinema, and fitness room, as well as a toy room and library designed for Andy’s daughter.

There are rumours swirling that Andy forked out NT200mil (S$8.3mil) for a private helicopter, making it easier for him to come and go as he pleases from home.
