Hyderabad Real Estate: Hyderabad to Remain Realty Capital Despite AP Developing Amaravati | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Allaying fears of a potential real estate downturn in Hyderabad due to a change in the Andhra Pradesh govt, Telangana’s housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy assured that the land market in the state capital is only poised to strengthen. Speaking at the Times Home Hunt Property Expo 2024 organised at Kothaguda on Saturday, he emphasised Hyderabad’s robust real estate potential despite political shifts. With the new TDP govt aiming to revive Amaravati as Andhra Pradesh’s capital, Reddy urged people to have confidence in Hyderabad’s real estate potential. “Soon after Chandrababu Naidu became the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, people are saying that something or the other might happen to Hyderabad’s real estate. But I want to give clarity and say that Hyderabad does have many advantages over Amaravati, and even if it develops, Hyderabad will remain the real estate capital. Our city trumps Amaravati in every comparison and metric, nobody can deny it,” he stated. After inaugurating the two-day event featuring over 40 developers and more than a hundred properties, the minister addressed the attendees and said that the Congress govt is keen on coming up with innovative and creative initiatives for the development of the city in line with its natural advantages. “While I was talking to different developers stationed at their stalls, it was heartening to know that they consider Hyderabad to be the best city, better than Bengaluru or Mumbai or Delhi due to its geography,” he said.Reddy also mentioned that with the end of election season, the govt will now set focus on new projects to enhance Hyderabad’s status as India’s most desirable city. “It is obvious that we could not deliver enough due to Lok Sabha polls and model code of conduct. But now that it is done, the real thoughts of this new govt will reflect in its administration,” he said. The minister acknowledged the need for further development in Hyderabad’s real estate sector and suggested incentives for developers to expand. “The development should be taken to the north and eastern parts of the city. I have heard the concerns of the developers regarding this, and they are genuine concerns. After talking to the CM I will act in a few days,” he assured.Additionally, Reddy discussed plans to extend the Metro rail, develop the Musi River front, and expedite the regional ring road to improve connectivity to districts.
