JPMorgan Chase Names Michelle Herrick as New Head of Commercial Real Estate

JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking said Wednesday that Michelle Herrick will become head of commercial real estate (CRE), reporting to John Simmons, head of commercial banking. Beginning in January, Herrick will lead the firm’s CRE business, which is made up of four businesses: Agency Lending, Community Development Banking (CDB), Commercial Term Lending (CTL), and Real Estate Banking (REB).

“We are thrilled to announce Michelle as the new head of CRE,” said Simmons. “Michelle brings a wealth of experience and deep sector expertise to this role. Her exceptional leadership and client-centric approach have been instrumental to our success, and I’m confident she will continue to strengthen our business and deliver for our clients.”

Herrick has worked in CRE for more than two decades. She joined JPMorgan Chase in 2017 as the REB Central Region market manager, where she consistently delivered double digital revenue growth. In 2021, she was named head of REB and became the deputy head of CRE earlier this year.

In her new role, Herrick is succeeding Al Brooks, who will become a vice chair for commercial banking next year. Brooks will advise teams across JPMorgan Chase and will continue to work closely with clients.
