Mayor Swaby warns real estate developers to ensure their advertisements are in line with what was approved by the KSAMC

Kingston Mayor Andrew Swaby is urging real estate developers to conform to the law, by ensuring that their advertisements are in line with what was approved by the corporation.

He made the comment while addressing the RE/Max Jamaica Premier Real Estate Conference and Expo, in Kingston on Sunday.

According to Mr. Swaby, in some cases, approvals were granted for the construction of 1-bedroom units, however, subsequent advertisements suggest the availability of multiple-bedroom units.

He warned against this practice.

The Mayor said discussions regarding building approvals were had with stakeholders recently and these will be continued in the coming weeks.
