Real estate developer Dominus launches hotel management platform

Real estate company Dominus has launched hotel management platform Dominus Hospitality as it seeks to expand its hotel portfolio.

The London-based investor has developed 15 hotels totalling more than 4,000 keys since its launch in 2011 and retains ownership of five properties trading under Hilton and Marriott, including the Dixon, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection in Tower Bridge, and Lost Property, a Curio Collection by Hilton in St Paul’s.

The group also operates hotels outside of London, such as Courtyard by Marriott in Oxford and Hampton by Hilton in Bath.

These franchise agreements will now fall under Dominus Hospitality, which has appointed a new leadership team amid aims to boost its annual revenue from its operating hotels to more than £100m by 2026.

Preet Ahluwalia, principal director at Dominus, will be supported by Matt Williams, director of hotels; Jacquelane Airnes, commercial director; Marc Saunders, marketing director; Maria Forsberg, senior director of revenue; Akshay Kukreja, director of revenue; Michael Davies, head of finance; Vincent Chan, group finance manager; and Krisztina Nemeth, director of human resources.

Dominus’s strategic advisor and director, Martin Quinn, will also remain closely involved in the business, overseeing acquisitions and disposals.

Dominus revealed it has four hotels in development across London, including a new 237-room Curio Collection by Hilton on Great Tower Street in the City of London, which occupies a former bank.

Williams said: “This is an exciting time for Dominus Hospitality, with a highly experienced senior team in place ready to support the ambitious growth strategy and ensure guests receive a best-in-class service. With more hotels on the horizon including a Curio Collection on Great Tower Street, we are in a strong position to build on the success of our existing portfolio.”
