Real Estate Mogul Patrick Carroll Arrested After Allegedly Fleeing From Police: Report

Real Estate mogul Patrick Carroll was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday, July 1, according to the arrest records obtained by PEOPLE.

The Miami-based businessman was arrested and charged with a felony on Monday night. He was taken into custody in the Los Angeles Police Department Hollywood division. He was released on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 3.

Carroll, 44, allegedly was driving under the influence, according to a report obtained by WSVN 7News. He allegedly then led L.A. authorities on a car chase on the freeway in an attempt to evade arrest. He also tried to flee by foot.

Authorities also recovered weapons at the site of the incident. It is unclear what prompted the arrest and LAPD’s pursuit of Carroll.

Carroll confirmed his arrest in an Instagram Stories video on Wednesday, July 3.

“I did get arrested and I did get charged with that stuff,” he said, later suggesting the charges were weapons-related. “Yeah I like guns but show me one person I shot. I’ve never shot anybody. I’ve never hurt a fly, actually.”

Carroll’s California arrest follows multiple legal incidents in Florida. Earlier this year, in March, police responded to Carroll’s Miami waterfront property after a 911 call reported he fired a gun in his backyard. He was then forced to undergo a mental health evaluation after the incident, per The Real Deal.

Five months prior, he was arrested on felony battery charges after he was accused by two Gold Rush Cabaret employees of assault, per The Real Deal.

In August 2022, he allegedly took part in a fight with someone at an after-party for the UNICEF gala in Capri, Italy, per PageSix.

Additionally, he has been banned from Miami-based restaurants including, Carbone, Hiyakawa Miami and Cote Miami, per The Daily Beast.

In July 2023, he reportedly signed a deal and sold his family company for around $80 million, reports The Real Deal.
