A former city school building that now is an apartment complex has a new owner.
The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Aug. 16-21.
During this time period, Branch Apartments, LLC sold 150 Prospect St., Jamestown to E.E.R. Enterprise, LLC of Lakewood for $950,000.
The apartment complex has a plaque on the building that states this was the location of Branch School No. 9, 1892.
There were other commercial sales during this time period.

PW Realty of Fredonia, LLC of Silver Creek sold 1200 Central Ave., Dunkirk and 355 Central Ave., Fredonia, to 355 Fredonia, LLC of Englewood Cliffs, NJ for $660,000. Part of the building is located in the village of Fredonia, while another part is located in the city of Dunkirk. There are a number of businesses in this plaza, including The Pawn Shop, LA Nails, COPE Foundation, School of Martial Arts and more.
Manufacturers & Traders Trust Company of Buffalo sold 20 W. Main St., and a parcel on W. Falconer St., Falconer to BAPA 20 W. Main St Re LLC of Horseheads, NY for $325,000. This former M&T Bank is proposed to become a Dunkin’ Donuts location.
Scott and Sueanne Campbell sold 25 W. Main St., Frewsburg to DBT Homes, LLC of Frewsburg for $95,000. This was the location of LE Tax Service, which is now located at 51 Frederick Blvd., West Ellicott. The Frewsburg building is now the location of a barber shop called Frewsbarber.
The biggest sale of this time period was a private residence. 223 Lakeside Drive, Ellery was sold for $1.75 million.
Including the previously mentioned sales, from Aug. 16-21 there were 12 sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– 11456 Bennett State Road, Hanover sold for $282,500.
– Condominium Unit No. J-15, Chautauqua Lake Estates, Chautauqua town sold for $270,000.
– 7430 Clymer Center Road, Clymer sold for $250,000.
