Real Estate Sales Include More Parcels For Ripley Project | News, Sports, Jobs

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency has continued to buy parcels in Ripley for its proposed shovel-ready site near the Thruway.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Feb. 1-10.

During this time period, Crown Logistics, Inc. sold 6202 Shortman Road, Ripley to County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency for $76,560.

In addition, Regal Warehouse Properties, LLC of Ripley sold 10408 West Main Road, Ripley to County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency for $166,340.

County IDA Director Mark Geise confirmed both of these purchases are for Phase I of the proposed shovel-ready site.

The IDA is looking to develop a large site in the Ripley area that could be used for manufacturing or warehouse development.

In December, the county IDA spent nearly $1.8 million buying three parcels.

From Feb. 1-10, there were seven sales that were $250,000 or higher. Those sales are as follows:

– 2355 Sunnyside Road, Mina sold for $739,000.

– Lot 36, Woodland Shores Drive, Mina sold for $394,000.

– 4789 Chautauqua Ave., Ellery sold for $305,000.

– 2475 Rt. 39, Sheridan sold for $299,900.

– 155 Central Ave., Silver Creek sold for $295,000.

– 4545 Webster Road, Pomfret sold for $293,454.

– 1508 Goshen Road, Harmony sold for $265,000.

Overall, from Feb. 1-10, there were 109 transactions. The full list of sales higher than $1 is as follows:

The executor of the Last Will and Testament of Warren Woodard sold a parcel on Fowler Ave., Jamestown to Andrew and Ashley Yahner for $2,000.

Cordelia Cohill sold 37 N. Pagnolin St., Dunkirk to Stephen Necessary, Matthew Necessary and Jennifer Necessary for $78,000.

Anthony Jr. and Janet Kapuscinski sold 29 N. Ermine St., Dunkirk to Jennifer Duman for $85,000.
