Real Estate: Sector Players unveil “Concept Kickstarter Conference” 2024

Concept Real Estate, a prominent player in the real estate industry, has launched the highly anticipated fourth edition of the Concept Kickstarter Conference. The event is scheduled to take place on March 29-30, 2024, at the Westin Waltham Boston Hotel.

The Soft Launch, held at the Latitude 0 Hotel in Kampala, was attended by key stakeholders in the real estate industry, including experts, innovators, and business leaders. The exclusive gathering aimed to provide insights into the exceptional investment opportunities that the upcoming conference holds.

Brian Kayongo, Group Director of B&L Ventures and CEO of Concept Real Estate, stated, “Concept Kickstarter Conference is more than a precursor to the official launch. It’s a unique gathering designed to enrich you with insights, opportunities, and exclusive possibilities that will redefine and elevate your experience to unlock your future.”

The theme for this year’s conference is “Business| Real Estate| Innovation,” reflecting a focus on unlocking future opportunities in business, real estate, and innovation with the goal of creating generational wealth and giving back to the community.

Newtown Karera, Business Director of B&L Ventures and Managing Director of Concept Real Estate, highlighted that, “The conference is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for real estate investors interested in Africa or the diaspora. Whoever wants to own property, the Kickstarter Conference is a platform for us.”

Corporate and commercial lawyer Tommy Ogwang emphasized the challenges from a legal perspective in real estate transactions. He highlighted the need for buyers to conduct thorough market research and legal due diligence to avoid potential fraud.

Eng. Kenneth Kaijuka, Chief Executive Officer at National Housing and Construction Company said, “Real Estate Investment is attracted by the nature of laws that govern it. Uganda didn’t have a law that would bring together real estate business stake-holders.”

“The Real Estate Law has now been crafted by the Government of Uganda along with influential figures in the real estate world, and we hope by June, it will be in place to facilitate investment and business in real estate,” stated Kaijuka.
