Ulverston, Barrow, Dalton and Ambleside properties sold at auction


Auction House Cumbria held their April meet at The Halston Hotel on Warwick Road in Carlisle.

Here is a breakdown of the guide prices and the actual prices these flats, houses and bungalows sold for.

Lot 26 – number 35 Chapel Street in Dalton-In-Furness

This three bedroom terraced property was withdrawn from sale shortly before the auction went live.

Lot 32a – flat 4A Schooner Street on Barrow Island

A two bedroom ground floor flat comprising of a hall, living room, kitchen and bathroom.

Situated in a residential area close to a range of amenities, the property was previously tenanted at £4,680 per anum and requires modernisation.

Arriving at auction with a guide price of £10,000, this property sold for £14,000, £4000 above asking price.

 

Lot 35 – Number 8 Croft Courtyard at Clappersgate in Ambleside

This Grade II listed traditional stone built cottage is situated in small Hamlet west of Ambleside.

Is located close to a range of amenities and the many attractions within the Lake District National Park.

The accommodation has an open plan kitchen and living space, and a bedroom and shower room on the upper floor, with a communal garden area.

From a guide price of £150,000, the property was bided up and sold at £168,000, £18,000 above asking price.

 

Lot 37 – Hill Crest on the Coast Road at Baycliff in Ulverston

A detached bungalow in a stunning elevated position with panoramic views over Morecambe Bay and the surrounding countryside.

The property comprises of a hall, lounge, kitchen, utility room and conservatory. Ground floor accommodation consists of two bedrooms and a wet room, while there are also two loft rooms.

While the property comes with off street parking and surrounding lawn gardens, it would benefit from some modernising.

A guide price of £200,000 was quickly raised and the property sold for £216,000, £16,000 above asking price.
