Gowling WLG strengthens real estate offer with partner hire

Gowling WLG has further strengthened its real estate offer by appointing Sunita Chawla as a partner in the firm’s commercial development and investment (CDI) team.

Chawla was previously a real estate partner at BCLP where she advised investors, developers, occupiers and asset managers across the full lifecycle of commercial real estate assets. She has a strong track record advising developers and institutional investors in the UK market on both investment and development strategies.

Felicity Lindsay, incoming head of real estate group at Gowling WLG, said: “Sunita’s experience and approach are an excellent fit for our CDI team and our wider real estate practice and sector. Mixed‑use and logistics continue to be key areas of focus for the firm, and her expertise further strengthens our ability to support clients investing in and developing complex schemes in these sectors.”

Chawla added: “Gowling WLG has a strong reputation in the real estate market, particularly for its work on development projects. I’m excited to be joining a team that has a clear focus on mixed‑use and logistics, and a shared ambition to grow and evolve its offering in line with client needs.”
