Simmons & Simmons has strengthened its asset management and investment funds (AMIF) practice with the addition of Han Ming Ho as a partner in Singapore.
Ho joins from Reed Smith, where he spent more than two years and led the firm’s Asia-Pacific investment management and funds group. Before that, he held partner roles at Sidley Austin, where he co-headed the firm’s Asia investment funds practice, and at Clifford Chance, where he established and led its Singapore investment funds practice.
He specialises in hedge funds, private equity, real estate, private credit and special situations funds, and regularly advises on manager-side and investor-side matters.
Ho is also experienced in advising fund clients in the digital assets ecosystem and on the tokenisation and structuring of tokenised funds for offerings in APAC.
“Han Ming’s appointment reflects our continued focus on strengthening our asset management and investment funds capability in Singapore and across the Asia-Pacific. His experience advising on complex, cross-border fund matters and Singapore-based fund platforms is closely aligned with our strategic priorities in the region,” Emily Monastiriotis, global managing partner at Simmons & Simmons, told Asia Business Law Journal.
Monastiriotis added that the firm had been seeing strong demand across the APAC and remained “committed to investing in our AMIF practice in key markets”.
