The February 11th episode of SBS ‘Running Man’ was themed ‘Paying Back the Ji Family (家)’ for Lunar New Year.
Members who arrived early at the shooting location were given special authority to modify the family tree based on the order of their arrival. As a result, the family tree was organized with Yoo Jae Suk as the eldest son, his son Ji Suk Jin, second daughter Song Ji Hyo and her husband HaHa, their son Kim Jong Kook, and the youngest son Yang Se Chan.
Yoo Jae Suk warned about Kim Jong Kook, “He just fights all day. That kid will ruin our family.” Kim Jong Kook, who arrived later and was assigned the role of Song Ji Hyo and HaHa’s son, accepted his role but warned, “Don’t think all grandchildren will be nice. Not all children grow up cute and well-behaved.”
HaHa’s actions, stepping out of his son-in-law role, sparked members’ backlash. Kim Jong Kook scolded, “Dad, get a grip,” and HaHa, while hitting Kim Jong Kook’s head as he was eating a cake, retorted, “This damn XX. What is this?” This led to members trying to calm an enraged Kim Jong-kook, saying, “This is unfilial,” and causing laughter.
After serving rice cake soup to Hong Jin-ho, who filled in for Ji Suk Jin during his break, members headed to Yongsan where Jonathan was. HaHa, born in Germany, mentioned he lived in Dongbu Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, when he first came to Korea. Yang Se Chan envied, “This guy is rich. Even his old photos exude elegance.”
Ji Suk Jin teased HaHa, who comes from a wealthy family, saying, “A troublemaker was born in that house,” making HaHa flustered. Meanwhile, Ji Suk Jin shared his own childhood, saying, “I was obedient,” but admitted, “I’ve been hit with a rice spoon by my brother,” surprising everyone.
Members laughed, finding it funny that Ji Suk Jin was hit by his brother. Ji Suk Jin explained, “My brother grabbed a rice spoon but only threw the rice. He was angry but held back in the end,” sharing his brother’s unique way of showing love. Song Ji Hyo also shared a laughable story about fighting with her younger brother, nine years her junior, with punches even after they were over twenty.
