Consonance Capital Partners Names Charlie Kolisek Vice President

Consonance Capital Partners has appointed healthcare investor Charlie Kolisek as Vice President, adding an experienced private equity professional as the firm continues to expand its investment activities across the U.S. healthcare sector.

The New York-based private equity firm, which focuses exclusively on healthcare investments, said Kolisek will support sourcing, evaluating and executing transactions while working closely with portfolio companies and management teams to drive long-term growth initiatives.

“We are pleased to welcome Charlie to Consonance Capital Partners,” said Javier Starkand, Partner at Consonance Capital Partners. “His sector expertise, healthcare investing experience and extensive network of relationships will be valuable additions to our firm as we continue to partner with founders and management teams to build differentiated and durable healthcare businesses with long-term growth potential.”

Kolisek joins CCP from private equity firm GTCR, where he was a member of the Healthcare group and focused on investments across the healthcare industry. His experience includes evaluating acquisition opportunities, supporting portfolio company growth strategies and working with healthcare businesses operating in a rapidly evolving regulatory and reimbursement environment.

Before GTCR, Kolisek worked at global investment firm Carlyle, where he gained additional experience in healthcare investing and private equity transactions. He began his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions.

The appointment comes as healthcare private equity firms continue seeking opportunities in sectors that can improve operational efficiency, expand access to care and address rising healthcare costs. Investors remain active across healthcare services, technology-enabled care delivery, provider services and businesses focused on improving patient outcomes while creating more efficient healthcare systems.

Consonance Capital Partners has built its investment strategy around identifying companies positioned to benefit from those trends. The firm focuses on lower- and middle-market healthcare businesses that provide essential services, support cost containment efforts and contribute to higher-quality patient care.

Healthcare remains one of the most active sectors for private equity investment, driven by demographic trends, growing demand for healthcare services and ongoing efforts to modernize care delivery models. Firms with specialized industry expertise have increasingly emphasized partnerships with founders and management teams to help scale businesses through operational improvements, strategic acquisitions and capital investment.

Kolisek’s addition strengthens Consonance’s investment team as the firm continues evaluating opportunities across a range of healthcare subsectors. His experience at several prominent investment organizations provides exposure to both large-scale transactions and growth-oriented healthcare investments.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Wabash College.

Founded to invest exclusively in healthcare, Consonance Capital Partners participates in growth equity investments, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, carve-outs and special situations. The firm focuses on partnering with healthcare companies that are positioned to drive efficiency and improve care delivery while building sustainable businesses capable of long-term growth in a complex and evolving healthcare market.
