Bad Omens have earned their first-ever double-platinum certification in the United States with “Just Pretend.”
The 2022 single initially surged in popularity after going viral on TikTok, earning gold status in July 2023 and platinum in April 2024 before officially reaching double platinum this month.
The band have also collected gold certifications for their third album, The Death Of Peace Of Mind, along with its title track, “Like A Villain,” and “Limits.”
(In the U.S., platinum represents 1,000,000 units; gold equals 500,000. Certifications now factor in streams—150 song streams = 1 track unit, and 1,500 album streams = 1 album unit.)
