A Silver Alert was activated Saturday for a 79-year-old man last seen in Fountain Valley, authorities said.
Richard Mugica was last spotted at approximately 1 p.m. Friday near La Alameda Avenue and Brookhurst Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Mugica was described as a 5-foot, 9-inch tall White male weighing 164 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.
Authorities said they believe he was on foot.
Anyone with information about Mugica’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired people.
