Ukrainian high jumpers successfully started the summer season at the first stage of the Diamond League in Xiamen, China.
Yuliia Levchenko became the winner of the competition. She was the only one in the sector able to clear the 1.99 m mark.
For Levchenko, this is the second victory at Diamond League stages in her career (the first since 2020) and her first medal in these competitions in the last three years.
The silver medal was won by Iryna Gerashchenko with a result of 1.97 m.
For her, this performance was the first at Diamond League tournaments after maternity leave, and the athlete immediately demonstrated her best jump since the 2024 Olympic Games upon her return.
