MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — The bodies of two women were found inside a Silver Spring, Maryland, home after a fire early Sunday morning, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS).
MCFRS said crews were called to the 2400 block of Harmon Road around 4:18 a.m. July 5 for a reported house fire.
Harmon Road sits near the intersection of Plyers Mill Road and Georgia Avenue.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire on the second floor of a single-family home, MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos said.
Crews began an aggressive search throughout the home to find anyone inside.
“Unfortunately, two adult female residents were located in the structure and are deceased,” Pazos said.
EMS crew spotted haze before fire was found
Fire officials said an MCFRS EMS unit returning from taking someone to the hospital noticed a haze near Georgia Avenue and Plyers Mill Road.
The crew started checking the area for a possible fire and soon found the home on Harmon Road burning, officials said.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Pazos said MCFRS units will remain on the scene as investigators work to find out what started the fire.
