Looking to stay a perfect three-for-three on Saturday, Waggley (Life Is Good) once again jumped to the front and dominated through to the very end, winning the Prairie Gold Juvenile Stakes.
Named a ‘TDN Rising Star, presented by Hagyard’ when wiring a field of juveniles at Keeneland on Apr. 8, the bay filly returned to go wire-to-wire in a sloppy renewal of the Kentucky Juvenile Stakes at Churchill Downs on Apr. 29.
Installed the 9-5 second choice behind favored Airship (Audible) while facing the boys again here, Waggley jumped out a pressured lead, carving out an opening quarter in :22.64. Still on top through a :45.94 half, the filly was not to be caught late as she drew off to triumph by 4 3/4 lengths over Dear Admiral (Midshipman). The favorite came home in fifth.
