Black Cat uncovers high-grade Lynx and Regulus gold lodes at Paulsens

Black Cat Syndicate Ltd (ASX:BC8) has identified two high-grade gold discoveries at its Paulsens Gold Operation in Western Australia, opening new near-mine growth opportunities beyond the operation’s historical mining footprint.

Underground drilling and development have defined multiple mineralised lenses at the new Lynx and Regulus lodes, including standout intercepts of 4.8 metres at 18.8 g/t gold at Lynx and 3.7 metres at 40.3 g/t gold at Regulus. A further Regulus result returned 1.1 metres at 69.6 g/t gold.

The discoveries have also established a new exploration framework that Black Cat believes could unlock further high-grade mineralisation across the broader Paulsens system.

High-grade discoveries support mine growth

Lynx represents a previously unrecognised style of mineralisation within the upper levels of the mine, with a structural orientation distinct from the dominant Paulsens trend.

The lode has been defined over more than 200 metres of strike and 260 metres vertically and remains open up and down plunge. Surface drilling is underway to test whether the mineralisation extends closer to surface.

Underground development has already demonstrated continuity, with an 88-metre ore drive producing 4,737 tonnes at 3.0 g/t gold through the mill.

Regulus, located in the hanging wall of previously mined areas, has been defined across 180 metres of strike and 40 metres vertically.

Development ore from a 66-metre drive at Regulus returned a reconciled 4,900 tonnes at 9.7 g/t gold for 1,528 ounces, providing confidence that drilling results can translate into mineable ore.

Black Cat managing director James Bruce said the results showed Paulsens remained a highly fertile gold system.

“The discovery of Lynx and Regulus as well as the potential at Belvedere confirms that Paulsens is a far larger, more dynamic high-grade system than previously understood, and one that warrants further investment.”

Paulsens operation generating value

Paulsens poured first gold in December 2024 following the refurbishment and restart of its processing plant.

Black Cat has since produced more than 40,000 ounces and repaid the acquisition cost and all subsequent invested capital within 18 months of operations.

Notably, around 40% of the ounces produced have come from outside the current mineral resource, highlighting the potential for continued mine life growth through exploration.

The company is also advancing Belvedere, about 5 kilometres from the Paulsens processing plant.

Belvedere hosts a resource of 30,000 ounces at 6.6 g/t gold within a 2.5-kilometre-long fault structure and remains open along strike and at depth.

Black Cat plans resource growth drilling in late 2026, while additional prospects at Grey Goose and Haku offer further opportunities to establish near-mine ore sources supporting longer-term production.
