Evesham wins gold medals at British Rowing Championships

The team took home a haul of top-tier medals following four days of racing at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham from July 17-20.

The club entered 22 crews with six senior and 16 junior entries, with some of its youngest athletes  in the WJ14 and J14 categories competing at a national regatta for the first time.

Simon North, club captain, said: “This weekend’s results demonstrate exactly what Evesham Rowing Club is all about.

“We’ve been building towards this success over the past two or three years, proving time and again that we are a thriving, inclusive, and highly competitive club.

“Whether it’s our experienced seniors or our junior rowers competing nationally for the very first time, every single person stepped up and gave everything on the water.

“Its an exciting time to be involved with Evesham Rowing Club.

“We have such a great spirit and plenty of ambition.

“I believe there’s lots more to come.

“I couldn’t be prouder of our rowers, coaches, and the incredible network of parents and volunteers who make success like this possible.”
