Brenntag shares rise after raising 2026 EBITDA outlook

Investing.com — Brenntag SE shares rose over 2% after the German chemicals distributor raised its 2026 operating EBITDA guidance to €1.35 billion-€1.45 billion from €1.25 billion-€1.40 billion, citing a strong start to the third quarter and preliminary second-quarter results.

The company said the increase reflects a continuously positive start to the third quarter of 2026. It also said preliminary second-quarter earnings support the higher full-year guidance.

Brenntag will publish its half-year 2026 financial report on Aug. 12.

The guidance increase follows an earlier upgrade announced on June 22, when Brenntag reported preliminary second-quarter operating EBITDA of about €450 million, above the analyst consensus mean of €366.9 million compiled by Vara Research from eight analysts.

Following those preliminary results, the company raised its 2026 operating EBITDA guidance to €1.25 billion-€1.40 billion from €1.15 billion-€1.35 billion, while maintaining a cautious outlook because of continued uncertainty and the risk of weaker demand in the second half of the year.
