Mark Somlyay to Maintain CFO Role Through Key Tiris Financing Milestones Until December 2026

Aura Energy confirmed that Mr Somlyay’s resignation will not cause any disruption in financial leadership during a critical phase for the Tiris Uranium Project. He will continue in his CFO role throughout the transition, ensuring the finance department remains fully operational. The Board stated that no interim CFO appointment is required, reflecting confidence in the continuity provided by the four-month notice period. The company expressed gratitude to Mr Somlyay for his contributions and wished him well upon completion of his tenure.

Tiris Uranium Project Bankable Feasibility Study and Financing Schedule Remain on Track

The company emphasized that the management change does not affect the Tiris Uranium Project timeline. Aura Energy remains on schedule to complete the Bankable Feasibility Study and Information Memorandum by September 2026 and to secure project financing by the end of 2026. Located in Mauritania, Tiris is a fully permitted, near-term development asset with potential for a long mine life. Aura aims to transition from uranium exploration to production, targeting the rising demand for nuclear energy amid global decarbonization efforts.

Successor Search Focuses on Candidates with Major Resource Project Financing Expertise

The Board confirmed that the search for a successor CFO is well underway. Priority is being given to candidates with direct experience in financing large resource projects, reflecting the critical nature of the upcoming financing phase for Tiris. Aura Energy will provide market updates on the appointment. As a dual-listed company on the ASX and AIM, any announcement regarding the new CFO will be communicated simultaneously to both markets, with SP Angel Corporate Finance serving as Nominated Adviser and Tamesis Partners as broker.

Aura Energy’s Dual-Project Portfolio and Strategic Position in the Uranium Sector

In addition to Tiris, Aura is advancing the H e4gg e5n Polymetallic Project in Sweden, a globally significant deposit containing vanadium, sulphate of potash, and uranium. The company positions itself at the intersection of uranium supply and battery metals development—sectors that have attracted investor attention amid the global energy transition. The CFO transition coincides with growing institutional interest in uranium driven by nuclear power demand, making the upcoming Bankable Feasibility Study and project financing key near-term catalysts for Aura Energy.
