Private equity firm ECI, based in London, has expanded its investment and finance teams with the appointments of Jessica Johnston as investment manager and Kajivan Kanthasamy as finance manager.
Jessica joins from Raymond James, where she spent five years advising founders and private equity sponsors across the UK and Europe.
Her deal experience spans the data services, software and professional services sectors.
At ECI, Jessica will focus on originating and executing investments in resilient growth businesses, as well as supporting management teams following investment.
Kajivan joins from Montagu Private Equity, where he spent six years in its finance team.
His experience covers financial reporting, FCA regulatory filings, budgeting and forecasting, alongside the implementation of technology solutions.
He previously trained as a chartered accountant with Forvis Mazars, working on audits for large and listed businesses.
In his new role, Kajivan’s responsibilities will span both ECI’s management and fund entities.
Their appointments come as ECI continues to invest in its next generation of talent while deploying capital from its latest fund, adding further capacity across two key areas of the business.
Chris Watt, managing partner at ECI, said: “These appointments reflect our continued investment in the team as we deploy our latest fund and build towards ECI 13.
“Jessica and Kajivan bring real strength in depth, in origination and execution on the investment side, and in financial rigour on the finance side, and I’m delighted to welcome them both to ECI.”
