Three hosts put Bilt Palladium atop their wallets

Three Points Talk Squad hosts discuss the cards they use most outside new-card spending requirements, and all three name Bilt Palladium. They weigh rewards categories, flexible points, travel purchases and convenience. The episode notes Bilt’s Hyatt transfer ratio is set to change on Jan. 1, 2027.

Jess says her Bilt Palladium earns 3 points per dollar on purchases through the Points Accelerator, up to $25,000 in annual spending, for a maximum 75,000 points at that rate. She says the card is a default option for her household and cites Bilt’s transfer partners as part of its appeal. The hosts exclude whichever card they are currently using to meet a welcome-offer spending threshold.

Alex said after recording that Bilt’s Hyatt transfer ratio would move to 4:3 starting Jan. 1, 2027, a revision the hosts described as disappointing. She cautioned that their recommendations reflect conditions before that date and may need updating afterward. The episode frames card choice as personal: spending patterns, travel purchases, earning opportunities and a preference for simplicity can all affect which cards remain in rotation.

Why it matters

The 3-point rate is capped at $25,000 in annual purchases, limiting how much spending earns at that pace. Bilt’s planned Hyatt transfer-ratio change may alter redemption planning after Jan. 1, 2027, for travelers.
