Madison Capital Group, a Charlotte-based real estate investment and development firm, has appointed Chris Best as managing director to lead its expansion into the registered investment advisor (RIA) and family office markets.
In his new role, Best will oversee capital raising, investment distribution strategy and team development, focusing on expanding access to the firm’s alternative real estate investment strategies among wealth management professionals and private investors.
Best brings more than 20 years of experience in capital formation, alternative investments and fund distribution. Throughout his career, he has directed the placement of billions of dollars across public and private investment funds.
Before joining Madison Capital Group, Best served as a director at Core Spaces. He previously spent more than 16 years at Sterling Capital Management, where he held leadership positions including executive director and senior client strategist.

The appointment supports Madison Capital Group’s efforts to broaden its investor base and increase distribution of its real estate investment offerings across the independent wealth management industry.

Best will focus on developing relationships with financial advisors and family offices seeking access to tax-advantaged real estate investments and other alternative investment opportunities.
