TrueBlue Appoints Former United Parks & Resorts CFO Elizabeth Castro Gulacsy to Board

TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI), a Tacoma, Washington-based workforce solutions company, has appointed Elizabeth Castro Gulacsy as an independent director to its Board of Directors, effective October 26, 2026.

Castro Gulacsy will serve on the Board’s Audit Committee, bringing more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, treasury operations and capital markets.

Her appointment follows an independent director search and is part of TrueBlue’s ongoing board refreshment efforts. With her addition, the Board consists of 10 directors, nine of whom are independent.

Castro Gulacsy previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of United Parks & Resorts Inc., formerly SeaWorld Entertainment, where she held several senior finance positions between 2013 and 2023.

During her tenure, she served as Chief Accounting Officer, interim CFO and ultimately CFO and Treasurer before transitioning to an advisory role in 2022.

Her responsibilities included overseeing financial reporting, capital allocation, debt refinancing and cost-reduction initiatives. She also chaired the company’s Disclosure Committee and Enterprise Risk Management Committee and participated in its 2013 initial public offering.

Earlier in her career, Castro Gulacsy spent more than a decade at Cross Country Healthcare, a publicly traded healthcare staffing company, where she advanced to Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller.

She began her career at Ernst & Young LLP, serving as an audit manager specializing in healthcare and supporting Cross Country Healthcare’s 2001 initial public offering.

“Elizabeth has led a public company finance operation through a period that demanded cost discipline, careful capital allocation, and clear communication with investors — for a business operating with a large, seasonal, hourly workforce,” said Chris Kreidler, Chair of the TrueBlue Board.

Kreidler said her financial leadership and prior experience in the staffing industry align with TrueBlue’s priorities around operating efficiency, disciplined execution and improved profitability.

Castro Gulacsy currently serves on the Board of Directors of NNN REIT Inc. (NYSE: NNN), where she is a member of the Audit Committee and Governance and Nominating Committee.

A Certified Public Accountant, she holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Florida. She is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Latino Corporate Directors Association.

TrueBlue provides staffing, recruitment and workforce management services through brands including PeopleReady, PeopleScout, Staff Management | SMX, Centerline, SIMOS and Healthcare Staffing Professionals.

The appointment adds public company financial oversight and staffing industry experience to TrueBlue’s board as the company focuses on operational performance and profitability.
