Kibble, based in Paisley, has achieved Investors in People Platinum status, placing it in the top 3% of UK organisations assessed.
The internationally recognised accreditation assesses how well organisations lead, support, and develop their employees through surveys and confidential conversations.
Kibble first achieved Investors in People status in 1999 and has held Gold since 2017.
Mark Macmillan, chief executive of Kibble, said: “Achieving Investors in People Platinum is an incredibly proud moment for Kibble, and above all it is a recognition of our colleagues, whose commitment and skill make such a difference every day.
“Whether someone joins us through Career Start or later in their career, we want them to be able to learn, progress and build a future here.
“We see the difference that investment in our people makes every day, and we are determined every colleague has that same opportunity.”

The charity was rated ‘High Performing’ in 25 out of 27 assessment areas, including leadership, values, staff development, and future planning.
The assessment report highlighted a clear link between Kibble’s investment in its people and the positive outcomes it delivers for children and young people.
Since 2023, staff have completed 197 professional registration qualifications and 77 further study courses across 38 subjects, with 98% of learners saying they could apply what they had learned in the workplace.
The report also praised Kibble’s “grow-your-own” culture, noting 116 internal promotions over three years.
Career Start, the charity’s paid pathway into child and youth care for those without prior experience, has supported 102 people into residential care roles since 2020.
Nicola Dillon, people and culture consultant, who carried out the assessment for Investors in People, said: “Everyone at Kibble should feel incredibly proud of achieving Investors in People Platinum, the highest level of accreditation.
“This wonderful achievement reflects the organisation’s strong leadership, deeply held values and genuine commitment to ensuring its people feel supported, valued and empowered.
“What stands out most is the clear connection between the way Kibble invests in and supports its people and the measurable difference they make every day for the children and young people they support.
“The Platinum recognition is thoroughly deserved and a truly special achievement for everyone at Kibble.”
The charity has also seen growth in its Graduate Apprenticeship programme, increasing from two to 12 in one year.
Apprentices are studying subjects including social work, ICT software development, and early learning and childcare.
The Platinum accreditation follows a successful year for Kibble, which has also received the Fair and Healthy Workplace award at the Glasgow Business Awards 2026 and Autism Accreditation from the National Autistic Society for all its children’s services.
The Care Inspectorate also graded its Early Years houses, Ness and Tay, as ‘Excellent’.
Kibble is currently recruiting across a range of roles and continues to offer its Career Start programme for newcomers to the sector and its Further Study Programme to support existing staff with professional development.
