Nike Basketball is preparing a new phase for its Greater Than line with three families: GT Flight, GT Force, and GT Uptempo. Already seen on the feet of Dylan Harper, the latter is revealed in a white and gold colorway, ahead of its expected launch in 2027.
Nike Basketball is bringing the Flight, Force, and Uptempo names back to the forefront of its performance offerings. This new organization groups its shoes around different approaches to the game. Within this collection, the GT Uptempo emphasizes speed and responsiveness, with a low-cut silhouette whose proportions are reminiscent of the GT Cut 4.
After its initial appearance on the feet of San Antonio Spurs player Dylan Harper , the model is now available in a “White/Gold” version. White dominates the upper, while gold accents highlight the lateral Swooshes, certain branding elements, and the Air Zoom logo in the forefoot. A gold gradient also adorns part of the midsole, adding depth to this clean color scheme.
The upper features a technical grid mesh , designed to combine support and lightness. Its regular pattern wraps around the shoe and gives it a visual identity focused on performance.
Underfoot, the announced components combine ZoomX 3.0 foam, an Air Zoom Strobel unit , and an additional Air Zoom unit in the heel . A Cushlon structure, along with a TPU window and reinforcement, complete the construction. The overall design reflects the shoe’s focus: supporting a fast-paced game characterized by acceleration, braking, and changes of direction.
The return of the Uptempo name, however, extends beyond just this shoe. In Nike Basketball’s new classification, this family also includes the Caitlin 1, Sabrina 3, Book 2, and KD 19. It thus becomes a unifying point for several signature lines, brought together around a common playing style while retaining their individual identities.
The Nike GT Uptempo is expected in spring 2027 , on Nike’s website and at select retailers. A “White/Gold” version may also be released, but its precise launch date is yet to be confirmed.
