Red Rooster Festival has been cancelled with organisers citing increased production costs.
The 5,000-capacity independent festival that specialises in Cajun, soul, rock’n’roll, blues and country music, was scheduled to take place 28-30 May at Suffolk’s Euston Hall.
Organising company Red Rooster Festivals Limited said it had been unable to continue trading following ongoing financial strain. The business cited a combination of lower ticket demand and increasing costs, alongside broader economic pressures affecting the live events sector and consumer spending.
Advisors from Opus Restructuring & Insolvency, including Bradley Parrott and Anthony Davidson, have been appointed to support the company. Directors are preparing to place the business into creditors’ voluntary liquidation.
Customers who purchased tickets have been directed to See Tickets for information on refunds. The ticketing provider will manage the process.
Red Rooster joins other festival cancelations this year including Wireless, some LIDO shows and Coventry’s Godiva.
Red Rooster’s organisers issued the following statement: “Red Rooster Festival has meant a great deal to many people over the past 12 years, shaped by its community, returning supporters and the very special setting at Euston Hall. The directors recognise the significant disappointment and disruption this decision will cause for ticket holders, artists, crew, traders, suppliers, local businesses and festivalgoers.”
