BTG Pactual Global Alternatives: Performing Credit Platform Expands With Senior Hires

BTG Pactual Global Alternatives, a $10.9 billion division of BTG Pactual focused on specialized alternative investments across the U.S. and Latin America, announced the appointments of Vincent Ingato as Senior Portfolio Manager and Brian O’Leary as Co-Head of Research within its Performing Credit platform.

The hires mark a continued buildout of the firm’s Performing Credit strategy, following the appointment of Chris Allen as Head of Performing Credit in October 2025.

Vincent Ingato brings more than 30 years of experience in leveraged finance and CLO portfolio management. He previously held senior portfolio management roles at Jefferies Credit Partners, ZAIS Group, and CVC Credit Partners. In his new role, he will lead portfolio construction and management across CLO strategies and serve as Head Loan Trader in the U.S., overseeing trading activity and execution.

Brian O’Leary joins from ZAIS Group, where he served as Managing Director of Leveraged Finance for more than a decade. He also held senior roles at Credit Industriel et Commercial and Fuji Bank. As Co-Head of Research, he will oversee fundamental credit analysis and lead the platform’s research efforts across performing credit investments.

Both Ingato and O’Leary will serve on the platform’s Investment Committee, contributing to oversight across investment strategy, portfolio construction, and risk management.

BTG Pactual Global Alternatives’ Performing Credit strategy focuses on senior secured loans to larger companies, emphasizing liquidity, disciplined underwriting, and active portfolio management across developed markets.

BTG Pactual, which trades under BPAC11, is the largest investment bank in Latin America with an approximate market capitalization of $39 billion. Its Global Alternatives division manages $10.9 billion in assets and invests across sectors including timberland, private equity, and private credit, serving a global institutional client base that includes pension funds representing more than 37 million beneficiaries.
