Caledonia, the high-profile hedge fund that invests on behalf of some of Sydney’s wealthiest families, has lost more than $4 billion in funds since the start of the year as backers pull their support after a long losing streak.
The Caledonia Global Fund, run by prominent stock pickers Will Vicars and Mike Messara and seeded with money from the wealthy Darling family, shed 21.9 per cent in September alone, documents sent to investors show.
