Chi-Rho Financial Appoints Daniel Hoinacki Head Of Capital Formation

Chi-Rho Financial has appointed Daniel Hoinacki, CFA, as Head of Capital Formation as the alternative investment firm prepares for its next stage of growth.

Hoinacki brings more than 20 years of experience across global fundraising, investor relations and strategic partnership formation.

His experience spans multi-strategy hedge funds, equity long/short, public and private credit and asset-based finance and structured credit platforms.

Hoinacki previously held senior client development positions at York Capital, Tricadia Capital and Carlson Capital, with responsibility for relationships across a broad range of global institutional investors.

Before Carlson, he was a Principal in the Fund Investment Group at Moore Capital.

At Moore, Hoinacki managed external investments across hedge funds, venture capital, private equity, real estate and real assets.

He also built a fund-of-hedge-funds business unit that he subsequently spun out, serving as its President and Lead Portfolio Manager.

Earlier in his career, Hoinacki was a Senior Investment Consultant at Graystone Consulting, which was acquired by Morgan Stanley, advising family offices and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

He began his investment career at Glenwood Capital.

Hoinacki is a CFA charterholder and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business along with bachelor’s degrees in finance and international economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Founded in 1996, Atlanta-based Chi-Rho operates a multi-strategy, multi-manager investment platform that allocates capital to external hedge fund managers.

KEY QUOTES:

“Having spent my career on both sides of the table, as an allocator building a fund of hedge funds business and as a capital raiser for leading hedge funds, I know how rare it is to find a platform built as thoughtfully as Chi-Rho’s. I’m thrilled to join the team at such an exciting stage in the firm’s growth as Chi-Rho has constructed a differentiated multi-strategy platform, bringing together seasoned external portfolio managers through separately managed accounts in a non-directional framework. I look forward to working with the team to grow the platform and build lasting partnerships with investors who value that approach.”

Daniel Hoinacki, CFA, Head of Capital Formation at Chi-Rho Financial

“I’m excited that we were able to bring Dan to Chi-Rho and add his unique and deep experience to our team. Over nearly 30 years, we have built a stable and enduring business that has allowed us to intentionally build a multi-manager, multi-strategy platform. We believe that foundation positions us well for our next stage of growth, as we continue to invest in our people, infrastructure, and capabilities.”

Peter Hurley, Co-CIO of Chi-Rho Financial
