Alasdair Gold is confident that Tottenham Hotspur will allow academy striker Jude Soonsup-Bell to head out on loan to an EFL club this month.

Soonsup-Bell only arrived at Spurs less than a year ago from Chelsea but he has quickly built up a reputation as one of the most exciting young talents at the North London club and there is now plenty of excitement about the teenager around Hotspur Way.

The 19-year-old has been nearly unplayable for Tottenham’s Under-21s this season, with nine goals and five assists in just 12 matches across all competitions (Transfermarkt).

Fabrizio Romano revealed on Tuesday that the centre-forward could head out on loan and that he is attracting interest from several Championship and League One sides.

Soonsup-Bell is expected to go out on loan from Spurs

Gold has now said that he would be shocked if Soonsup-Bell does not seal a temporary move away this month, given how brilliant the striker has been in Premier League 2.

The journalist revealed that there is also quite a bit of interest in 20-year-old Spurs goalkeeper Josh Keeley.

He said on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast: “I do think they’re at the stage now where the U21s are smashing it, but there are others. Jude Soonsup-Bell I would be stunned if he didn’t go out on loan because he’s that bit older.”

Soonsup-Bell would probably be loaned out to a League One club as he has demonstrated this season that he is too good for the Under-21s. In fact, I am surprised that we have not seen Postecoglou take more of an interest in the 19-year-old, particularly given the injuries Spurs have had up front.
