Citadel star Priyanka Chopra was among numerous Asian talents recognized in Hollywood by Gold House during their annual gala. The fifth edition featured a mix of iconic figures like Jet Li and emerging stars such as The Pitt’s Supriya Ganesh. Priyanka was awarded the Global Vanguard Honour for her impact on Asian Pacific culture. Other notable recipients of awards at the Gold Gala Honours included Charles Melton, Eileen Gu, Jet Li, Simu Liu, and Revathi Advaithi, alongside Priyanka. Before Mother’s Day, Priyanka took the opportunity to honor her mother Madhu at the Gold Gala 2026. The awards ceremony held at the Music Center in downtown Los Angeles on May 9 was filled with emotion, as many honorees acknowledged their parents and families for their unwavering support. Following Revathi Advaithi’s lead, Priyanka highlighted her mother and grandmother (her nani), reflecting on how they emphasized the importance of education and possessing “a skill set.” She credited these values to the women in her family across generations.

Praising her mother’s beauty, Priyanka remarked, “So thank you for being the foundation of who I am, for always being a student of life.” The actress’s heartfelt words moved several audience members. Her elegant white gown was crafted from a 20-year-old Chikankari saree.

The gala was attended by a prominent gathering of Asian Pacific stars, including Chinese actress Esther Yu, Wicked’s Bowen Yang, stars from KPop Demon Hunters Arden Cho and EJAE (the voices of Rumi), Mindy Kaling, Deli Boys actors Saagar Shaikh, Asif Ali, and Poorna Jagannathan, Lilo & Stitch’s child star Maia Kealoha, and Tia Carrere. Jet Li received a standing ovation as he accepted his Gold Legend award.

The actress’s latest Hollywood series, Citadel, premiered its second season on May 6. This spy thriller, featuring Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci, will conclude with this season. She is set to return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film Varanasi. Co-starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, this highly anticipated film is scheduled for release in January 2027.

Recently, it was revealed that Priyanka will star alongside Orlando Bloom in Matt Smukler’s survival thriller Reset. Filming for this Hollywood project is set to commence later this year. Additionally, Priyanka has filmed a cameo in Mira Nair’s biopic on Amrita Sher-Gil titled Amri, featuring Tanya Maniktala in the lead role.
