Lily Allen has plenty to celebrate after a remarkable year, and the singer marked a major milestone by sharing a series of glamorous new photographs with her fans.
The 41-year-old looked incredible in a shimmering gold minidress as she celebrated the first anniversary of her critically acclaimed album, West End Girl, which was inspired in part by the breakdown of her marriage to Stranger Things actor David Harbour.
Posing with a vinyl copy of the record, Lily appeared radiant in the leg-baring ensemble as she reflected on the success of her musical comeback.
“1 year of west end girl…thanks for loving this record,” she wrote on Instagram, adding: “What a dream it’s been. X”
Fans were quick to congratulate the singer, with one declaring that the album had saved them during the past year.
Another thanked Lily for creating such relatable and vulnerable music, while others praised the record as one of her finest achievements.
A remarkable comeback
Released on October 24, 2025, West End Girl marked Lily’s return to music after seven years and offered an intimate look at the emotional fallout from her marriage to David, 51.
The former couple married in Las Vegas in 2020 before separating several years later.
The 14-track album explores themes of heartbreak, betrayal and the complexities of relationships, with Lily previously explaining that the songs blend personal experiences with fictional elements.
The record quickly became one of the most talked-about releases of 2025, introducing the singer to a new generation of fans and marking a dramatic new chapter in her career.
A new chapter
Lily has since taken the album on the road, performing it in its entirety as part of an ambitious theatrical production.
The singer recently completed performances in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, where she recreated scenes from the album through elaborate sets and costume changes.
Her performances have included a striking dress featuring printed receipts and messages, reflecting the themes of alleged infidelity explored in her songs.
And while her latest music has revisited one of the most difficult chapters of her life, Lily’s anniversary post made it clear that she is grateful for the extraordinary response to her comeback.
The singer is set to conclude the Australian leg of her tour in Perth on November 1.
