MB&F has released the MB&F LM101 EVO NYC Edition to mark the opening of its new Lounge in Manhattan. The piece is limited to 25 examples and is available exclusively through that single location. It combines an 18K rose gold case with a black PVD-treated dial plate, making it the first LM101 EVO to appear in this material and colour combination.

The LM101 line first appeared in 2014 as one of the smallest and thinnest models in the Legacy Machine family. It was also the first calibre conceived entirely by MB&F’s in-house engineering team, with input from watchmaker Kari Voutilainen on design and finishing. The movement centres on three core elements: the flying balance wheel, a power reserve indication, and the time display, arranged in a three-dimensional layout.
The EVO variant of the LM101 was introduced in 2025 during MB&F’s 20th anniversary, initially in titanium. In addition to the case change, the EVO specification brought a screw-down crown, an ergonomic case profile with an integrated rubber strap, and MB&F’s patented FlexRing shock absorber system. Water resistance on the LM101 EVO NYC Edition stands at 80m, rated for recreational swimming and snorkelling.

The manually wound LM101 EVO calibre inside this release delivers a 60-hour power reserve while beating at a leisurely 18,000 vph. Functions include hours, minutes, and a power reserve indication. The flying balance wheel sits prominently above the dial, suspended from twin polished arches with floating subdials arranged around it. The dial plate itself carries a sunray-brushed finish under the black PVD treatment, which contrasts with the rose gold case.
Flip the watch over and the box sapphire caseback reveals the hand-finished movement, comprising 233 components and 23 jewels. It also carries a reminder of exactly what this edition celebrates, with “MB&F NYC” engraved around the periphery of the caseback.

The MB&F Lounge New York occupies the fifth floor of the Fuller Building at 595 Madison Avenue – a 1929 structure on the corner of 57th Street in Manhattan. MB&F describes the space as a place for visitors to discover its watches at a relaxed pace rather than a conventional retail environment. The Lounge operates Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, by appointment only.
It’s an approach borrowed from MB&F’s M.A.D. Galleries in Geneva and Dubai, which means the space showcases kinetic art and mechanical curiosities alongside the brand’s watches and co-creations. After more than two decades of selling through American retail partners, it’s also the brand’s first dedicated space of its own in New York, and the LM101 EVO NYC Edition is the watch chosen to mark the occasion.

The MB&F LM101 EVO NYC Edition carries a price of CHF 77,000 (approx. £72,300), or $105,000, excluding taxes. Furthermore, all 25 pieces sell exclusively through the MB&F Lounge New York. No other retail channel carries this edition.
