Katy Perry has found new love again with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, but is keeping her bonds with her ex alive.
Katy and Orlando Bloom ended their six-year engagement in 2025, capping off nearly a decade of on-and-off dating, during which time they welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, now five.
During that time, the “Roar” singer, 41, also became a devoted stepmom to Orlando’s son with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, Flynn, and found a strong sisterhood in Miranda herself.
The Australian model, 43, was married to the Lord of the Rings star, 49, from 2010 to 2013. Since 2017, she has been married to Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel, welcoming three sons with him. Justin also shares three kids with ex-wife Sophie Grégoire.
The latest on Katy and Miranda
In a new collection of photos shared on Instagram over the weekend, Katy recapped some of her highlights from the past month, several of which featured her new boyfriend Justin and her daughter Daisy.
In one of the photos, Katy posed with Miranda and Kelly Sawyer Patricof at a Baby2Baby Mother’s Day Celebration, which took place on April 23 in Los Angeles, showcasing that despite her split from Orlando, the two remain close.
Other snippets included several memes, more selfies and snaps with Justin, some shots of Daisy’s life, and more. “April showers bring May flowers,” she captioned the photos.
Fans reacted to the photo dump with comments like: “Katy and Justin make the cutest couple ever! I am so happy for you Queen,” and: “Daisy is the cutest ever, learning a martial art!” plus: “I love this!”
Co-parenting with ease
Speaking with Vogue Australia in 2022, Miranda noted how much joy she found in co-parenting Flynn with Orlando and Katy. “Co-parenting with Orlando and Katy is something that I feel really happy about.”
“From day one when Orlando and I decided to separate, I said, ‘Listen, whatever we do, we have to put Flynn’s needs first, not our own.’ That’s the way we make our decisions. Family is my number-one priority,” she continued.
“I just love being a mother and I always wanted three boys, so I feel really blessed that I have three healthy boys,” although when asked if she wanted more, she replied: “I feel like I’m open, so we’ll see what God decides.” This was before Miranda and Evan welcomed their third son Pierre together, Miranda’s fourth, in 2024.
Sister wives!
She later told E! News about her bond with “sister wife” Katy: “We genuinely like each other which helps, and we have always put the needs of Flynn first.”
“No matter what, if we’re deciding on holidays or what to do, it’s, ‘what is in the best interests of Flynn?’ really, and that is a way to put everything in perspective and make the right decision.”
