People moves for the week ending Oct. 9


Hiring across alternative investments this week spanned fundraising, investor relations, portfolio operations, technology and investment management, with appointments at private equity firms, credit managers, hedge funds and real estate investment firms.

New Mountain Capital, Octagon Credit and were among the firms adding executives focused on investor relationships or operations. Institutional investors also made appointments, including a foundation adding to its private markets team.

Investors

Private Equity

One Rock Capital Partners added Damon Anderson and Paolo Ferrari as operating partners. Anderson will work with the private equity firm’s portfolio companies on supply chain and procurement initiatives. Anderson joins from NSI Industries, where he was vice president of global sourcing and distribution and built the company’s acquisition integration playbook. He brings more than 25 years of experience in procurement, global sourcing, supply chain, acquisition integration and operational improvement, and earlier held sourcing leadership roles at Newell Brands. Ferrari joins after working with One Rock for more than a year through portfolio company involvement. He brings more than 30 years of experience running industrial, automotive and technology businesses, most recently as chairman, CEO and president of Bridgestone Americas. He will focus on post-acquisition value creation at portfolio companies, particularly industrial businesses in need of operational transformation.

hired Rina Kozlowski as partner and head of human resources, effective Oct. 1. She joins from , where she spent nearly a decade, most recently as head of people for quantitative strategies. Based in Chicago, Kozlowski is leading the firm’s global human resources function, including talent strategy, talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation and benefits, and serves on its operating committee. She previously held HR leadership roles at KCG Holdings, McKinsey & Co. and Bain & Company. Kozlowski succeeds Carolyn Flanagan, who will retire at the end of the year after 20 years at Adams Street.

added Carl Stanton as a senior partner. Stanton began working with the firm in 2025 as a senior advisor, including on its investment in Lexxel, a provider of maintenance and repair services to infrastructure, where he serves as chairman of the board. He has three decades of private equity and alternative asset management experience and previously served as managing partner and head of private equity at Invesco Private Capital, partner at Focus Impact Partners and managing partner at Wellspring Capital Management, focusing on industrial products and services, business services and consumer deals.

Credit

TCW appointed Michael Chambers as a managing director in its Institutional Advisory Group focused on working with southeastern U.S. clients. He will work across private and public markets, including private credit, equities and fixed income. Most recently, Chambers spent over three years at Oaktree Capital Management in Los Angeles as a managing director partnering with clients across PE, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, equities, fixed income and hedge funds. He previously served at Morgan Stanley, Columbia Threadneedle and Empower.

Real Estate

Hammes named Patrick Hammes CEO as part of a planned leadership succession. He succeeds Jon Hammes, who served as chairman and CEO and continues as chairman. Patrick Hammes oversees the healthcare real estate firm’s consulting, development, investment and management services. He joined the company in 2012 to help launch its institutional investment platform, , where he and Jon Hammes are managing principals and investment committee members. He was previously a member of the business services and healthcare investment banking group at Robert W. Baird & Co. Leadership of affiliates Hammes Healthcare, Hammes Realty Services and Hammes Partners is unchanged.

added David “Mac” McWhorter to the PEF Advisory Board, welcoming his decades of institutional real estate industry experience. McWhorter is managing director at Institutional Real Estate, and has led the firm’s Institute for Real Estate Operating Companies and IREI Advisory Partners since 2016. He also held capital-raising roles at AEW Capital, Nuveen Real Estate/Henderson Global, Heitman and Carmel Partners. PEF Advisors will work with the advisory board on investment strategies focused on preserving and improving affordable housing communities across the U.S.

Hedge Funds

Citadel named Matt Taddy chief technology officer. He joins from Amazon, where he was a vice president from 2018 to 2026. Most recently, he led the software effort behind Amazon’s global logistics network. Before working at Amazon, he was a professor of econometrics and statistics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Modular Asset Management hired Asif Godall as a global macro portfolio manager. The firm focuses on Asian macro strategies and manages the Modular Asian Macro Master Fund. Based in Singapore, Godall previously served as head of global markets for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Mizuho, where he oversaw risk, sales and trading strategy.

Asset Management

Wendel appointed Bénédicte Rabier chief product officer of Wendel Investment Managers, effective Oct. 1. Rabier is responsible for the platform’s product roadmap and marketing strategy and works with Cyril Marie, who was recently appointed to Wendel’s executive board. She joins from AXA IM Prime, where she was managing director and chief product officer. Rabier brings more than 20 years of experience in alternative investments across capital markets and asset management, including six years as international head of the investment specialist group at Natixis Investment Managers and an earlier role as senior product specialist at Amundi Alternative Investments.

named Amanda Heravi capital formation operating advisor and Jacky Wu operations and finance operating advisor. They are the first two external appointments to the operating advisor network that supports GPs in , Wafra’s platform for next-generation managers. Heravi, who will advise GPs on investor relations, fundraising strategy and limited partner engagement, was a founding member of Avista Healthcare Partners, a healthcare PE firm that Capital Constellation backed in 2020. Wu, who will advise on reporting, finance and operating processes, previously served as chief financial officer of DigitalBridge Group, a Wafra-backed digital infrastructure investment manager.
