Hecla Mining stock falls 1.67 percent below its yearly high

Hecla Mining Company (ISIN US4220961075) was trading at USD 17.96 on the NYSE on September 24, 2026 at 12:34 p.m. ET, down 1.67 percent from the prior close. The price stood 47.44 percent below its 52-week high of USD 34.17, putting the silver producer’s market position under a sharper test than its operating figures alone suggest.

Revenue drops after record quarter

Hecla reported second quarter 2026 revenue of USD 334 million, a 19 percent decline from the prior quarter. Business Wire attributed the pullback to lower realized silver and gold prices, shipment timing and lower precious metals sales volumes.

The comparison is important because first quarter revenue reached USD 411 million. The sequential reset came alongside higher production, showing that sales timing and metal prices had a larger effect on the quarter than mine output alone.

Silver output moves higher

Hecla produced 4.2 million ounces of silver in the second quarter, up 8 percent from the prior quarter. The Lucky Friday mine delivered a quarterly record of 1.5 million ounces, while Keno Hill produced 0.6 million ounces after working through a lower-grade zone, according to Business Wire.

Hecla now guides to 15.1 million to 16.1 million ounces of consolidated silver production in 2026, compared with an earlier upper end of 16.5 million ounces. The narrower range shifts attention toward execution at Keno Hill and the contribution from Greens Creek and Lucky Friday.

Credit facility adds financial capacity

On September 16, 2026, Hecla entered a USD 500 million senior secured revolving credit facility, with an option to increase commitments by another USD 100 million subject to conditions, according to MarketScreener. For investors, the facility provides a measurable liquidity buffer while production guidance and quarterly sales remain sensitive to metal prices and shipment timing.

Stock stays below yearly high

Hecla Mining stock was trading at USD 17.96 on the NYSE on September 24, 2026 at 12:34 p.m. ET, down 1.67 percent from USD 18.27. Its 52-week range was USD 11.07 to USD 34.17, leaving the operating improvement in silver production alongside a substantial gap to the yearly high.
