Currently on their Bootleg tour in support of their sixth full-length collection of dark anarchy and paranormal possibility, The Garden’s Wyatt and Fletcher Shears played a hometown show in LA last week that brought out the most devout among their fanbase: namely, clowns. The cult brotherly duo’s aesthetic has become increasingly carnivalesque since they posed with Juggalo-like face paint on the cover of 2022’s Horseshit on Route 66 LP, with their dedicated followers continuing to use their rowdy live shows as an opportunity to paint up.
Their recent gathering at the Hollywood Palladium additionally featured opening sets from London post-punks bar italia and Philly shoegazers Her New Knife.
