Nike continues its 2026 Kobe 3 Low Protro rollout with the upcoming “Pure Platinum” colorway, a clean white and icy blue edition scheduled to release on September 1. The Kobe 3 has become one of Kobe Brand’s most visible releases this year. Nike’s low-profile update brings the original model closer to the shapes Kobe Bryant favored from his fourth signature shoe onward.
The “Pure Platinum” edition keeps the palette restrained. Platinum white covers most of the shoe, giving the upper a bright and clean finish. White leather appears on the toe box and heel, while the net-shaped TPU side panel follows the same tonal direction.
Behind the side structure, mesh introduces a lighter icy blue shade that also appears on the sockliner and branding. That blue returns on the Kobe sheath logo placed at the center of the tongue, where a metallic silver panel adds a reflective finish.
The heel carries a large Swoosh in the same cool blue tone, creating the strongest color accent on the shoe. Nike keeps the midsole and outsole in platinum white, allowing the blue and silver details to remain concentrated around the upper and branding.
The colorway has already appeared on court. Jun Seok Yeo wore the “Pure Platinum” edition during the FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers, giving an early look at the shoe in play before its retail release.
The timing places the shoe just after Kobe Day on August 24, a period when Nike has been cycling through a concentrated run of Kobe releases. The Kobe 3 Low Protro has played a major part in that schedule, bringing fresh colorways to the updated low-cut version of the third Kobe signature model.
The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro “Pure Platinum” will release on September 1, 2026, through Nike and select retailers in stores and online. The pair is expected to carry the model’s standard $190 retail price.
