ACTS OF KINDESS: Watford charity scoops silver award at national ceremony

A Watford-based charity has been recognised in a national awards ceremony which took place in Wembley on Friday, December 1.

Small Acts of Kindness, which provides Warm in Winter gift bags filled with essential items to vulnerable and elderly people, were Silver Winners in the Community Business of the Year category at the SME National Business Awards 2023.

This category celebrates both community businesses and not-for-profit organisations which focus on benefitting society.

CEO Lynne Misner said: “To receive national recognition for our work is truly humbling. Our achievements and the impact we have is a credit to the endless and quite incredible acts of kindness that our volunteers, partners, supporters and funders perform. Partnership working is at the core of what we do, and this is reflected in the reach that we have throughout the communities with which we operate.

“It is an absolute privilege and honour to be recognised as a successful community business on a national platform. We share this wonderful award and extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who makes our work possible.”
