To commemorate King Mohammed VI’s 63rd birthday, Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) has unveiled a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 250 dirhams.

The coin’s obverse showcases the sovereign’s effigy, surrounded by the inscriptions «المملكة المغربية», «محمد السادس» and «ⵜⴰⴳⵍⴷⵉⵜ l ⵍⵎⵖⵔⵉⴱ» in both Arabic and Tifinagh, along with the year «2026 – 1448», as noted in a statement from BAM.

The reverse features an artistic ribbon with a five-pointed star, accompanied by Morocco’s coat of arms. The number «63» underscores the birthday celebration, surrounding a festive array of arabesque designs. The coin includes its face value in numerals and Arabic words «250 – مائتان و خمسون درهما», along with the inscription «الذكرى الثالثة و الستون لميلاد صاحب الجلالة محمد السادس» and its French translation: «63rd ANNIVERSARY OF H.M.
